Two smart delivery methods. One better fit for each ingredient.
Liposomal and SpeedTech delivery can both help prepare hard-to-absorb ingredients. The key is knowing when to use each one.
A supplement needs more than good ingredients. Your body must also be able to use those ingredients. That is where a delivery system can help.
What Is Liposomal Delivery?
Tiny fat-based bubbles
Liposomes are tiny bubbles made from fats called phospholipids. These fats are similar to ones found in the outer layer of our cells.
A liposome can surround an active ingredient. This may help protect the ingredient and prepare it for absorption.
A flexible delivery choice
- It can carry many types of ingredients.
- Its fat-based structure works well with the body.
- It may help protect certain ingredients.
- It has been widely studied.
Liposomal delivery can be a smart choice. Still, it may not be the best choice for every ingredient or every formula.
What Is SpeedTech Delivery?
SpeedTech takes a different path.
Some plant extracts contain solid compounds that do not dissolve well. SpeedTech makes these particles very small and spreads them evenly through an oil-based formula.
Picture a spoonful of powder going into oil.
Without the right process, the powder may form clumps or fall to the bottom. Smaller, more evenly spread particles can help the mixture stay smoother and more consistent.
SpeedTech is a good match for certain plant extracts because it focuses on two key needs:
- Making hard-to-dissolve particles smaller
- Spreading those particles more evenly through oil
This helps prepare the plant compounds for more effective absorption.
How Do Liposomal and SpeedTech Compare?
Both methods are made to improve ingredient delivery. But they do not do it in the same way.
Liposomal vs. SpeedTech
A quick look at how the two delivery methods compare
| Feature | Liposomal Delivery | SpeedTech Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Basic approach | Places ingredients inside or around tiny fat-based bubbles | Makes solid plant particles smaller and spreads them through oil |
| Main strength | A flexible carrier that can work with many ingredients | Targets particle size and even mixing for certain plant extracts |
| How it handles turmeric | Can place turmeric compounds inside a phospholipid-based carrier | Creates a fine, even spread of concentrated turmeric in oil |
| Use in RELIEF | Used for both CBD and turmeric in the former formula | Used specifically for turmeric in the new formula |
| Best way to think about it | A useful all-around carrier | A focused tool for a stubborn plant extract |
One method is not always better than the other. The best choice depends on the ingredient.
A delicate, water-based nutrient may have one set of needs. A concentrated, fat-soluble plant extract may have another. The goal should be to find the right method for each ingredient.
Why Turmeric Is Hard to Absorb
Turmeric contains helpful plant compounds called curcuminoids. Curcumin is the best-known curcuminoid.
There is one big problem: curcumin is hard for the body to absorb.
Curcumin does not dissolve well in water. It can also break down or leave the body before much of it is used. Because of this, supplement makers often use special delivery methods for turmeric.
Liposomal delivery is one option. Micelles, phospholipid blends, small-particle systems, and oil-based formulas are other options.
SpeedTech is designed to meet this challenge by making the turmeric particles very small and spreading them evenly through oil.
Why CBD and Turmeric Do Not Mix Well on Their Own
CBD and turmeric can be used together. They do not cancel each other out, and they are not unsafe simply because they share the same formula.
But they do not behave the same way.
CBD is naturally fat-soluble. It fits well in a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil.
Concentrated turmeric is different. Even though curcumin also prefers fat over water, it starts as a stubborn solid. It may clump or settle if it is simply stirred into CBD oil.
They can share the same bottle. They just need different kinds of support.
Careful preparation helps CBD and turmeric stay in a smooth, well-designed formula.
in an oil base
even spread
Each ingredient gets the type of support that fits it best.
Why We Changed the Formula
Our former RELIEF formula used micelle-liposomal delivery for both CBD and turmeric. Liposomal delivery served us well. But as we worked on the next version, we saw a chance to make the whole formula better.
Instead of putting both ingredients through the same system, we chose a more focused plan.
In the new formula, CBD comes from full-spectrum hemp extract in an oil base. The turmeric is prepared with SpeedTech.
This setup makes sense because CBD is already at home in oil. Turmeric is the ingredient that needs extra help with particle size and even mixing.
It is a simple idea: give each plant what it needs.
What This Means for CBD
The former RELIEF provided 17 mg of broad-spectrum CBD per serving. The new formula provides 50 mg of CBD from 70 mg of full-spectrum hemp oil extract. That is almost three times the labeled CBD per serving.
Full-spectrum hemp also keeps CBD together with other natural hemp compounds. This creates a more complete, whole-plant formula.
Because full-spectrum hemp may contain a small amount of THC, people who receive drug testing should review the product’s Certificate of Analysis before use.
What This Means for Turmeric
Each serving provides 50 mg of turmeric extract. It is standardized to 95% curcuminoids.
“Standardized” means each serving contains a set amount of turmeric’s key active compounds. You are not getting ordinary kitchen spice with an unknown amount of curcumin.
SpeedTech creates a fine, even spread of these curcuminoids throughout the oil-based formula. The goal is to help this hard-to-absorb plant extract arrive in a form that is better prepared for your body to use.
What This Means for Your Routine
The former RELIEF needed eight pumps for one full serving. The new formula gives you a complete serving in one 1 mL dropperful.
It uses a simple oil base made with fractionated coconut oil and organic sunflower oil. It contains no glycerin, xanthan gum, gum arabic, or potassium sorbate.
- 50 mg of CBD
- 70 mg of full-spectrum hemp oil extract
- 50 mg of turmeric extract standardized to 95% curcuminoids
- SpeedTech delivery for the turmeric
- 5 mg of vitamin E
- One easy dropperful per serving
Liposomal Is Great. New RELIEF Is Even Better.
Liposomal delivery is still a useful and respected option. But the right question is not, “Which delivery system is always best?”
The better question is, “Which delivery system makes the most sense for this ingredient?”
CBD works well in an oil-based, full-spectrum hemp extract. Turmeric has different needs, so it gets targeted support from SpeedTech. The new formula also provides more CBD and makes each serving easier to take.
Our liposomal formula was great. By giving CBD and turmeric the individual attention they need, we believe the new RELIEF formula is even better.
